Hakone Trip Part 1

Hakone Trip Part 1

Today I want to tell you about the best Hakone trip.
I'll introduce the hotel I stayed at when I went on a trip with my family the other day, and the Hakone specialties I ate when I went with Kikuchi.
By the way, people often mistake me for Kikuchi. Haha
I (Naoki Taguchi) am the one who takes the photos and writes on Instagram, but Kikuchi is the one who usually appears on Instagram.
Kikuchi is a colleague who works with me, and he's like a younger brother to me.
First of all, Kikuchi is holding a Hakone manju.

It's a Japanese sweet.
It has white bean paste in it and has a nostalgic taste.
It's not the latest delicious thing, but a traditional Japanese sweet that has been around since ancient times.
It's not particularly delicious.
But it's a taste that touches the hearts of Japanese people.
You should definitely try it when you get to Hakone.
And next is this.
Kagoya Seijiro's kamaboko.
It's exquisite.
It's an ingredient and processing method that is unique to Japan, so you should definitely try it.
My recommendation is onion kamaboko.
It's what we eat.

By the way, Kikuchi is on the left and I am on the right. Haha
It looks like a couple's photo, but we are not lovers. Haha
And the main dish is steak.

Steak House Yoshiike at Yoshiike Ryokan.
You can eat A5 rank specially selected black wagyu beef steak.
Honestly, I think people who have never eaten wagyu beef will be surprised.
Because even we who have eaten wagyu beef were surprised. Haha
It's so delicious.
The tenderness and umami of the meat and the elegant sweetness of the fat.
I think that wagyu beef is the only beef in the world that has this exquisite taste mixed together.
Of course, I think beef from other countries is also delicious.
However, wagyu beef has a slightly different flavor direction.
There are many delicious foods in Japan.
But wagyu beef is hard to find in other countries.
Well, I wonder if wagyu beef is now being exported to the world?
I don't know the details though. Haha
Anyway, if you come to Japan, you should definitely try black wagyu beef.
Eat it as steak, sukiyaki, or yakiniku.
You will get a taste that you will never regret.
But be careful not to eat too much, as it can upset your stomach for a few hours. Haha
And that's all for the first part of my Hakone trip.
Next time I'll introduce the hotel I stayed at.

Hello, thank you for always checking out our online store. And I’m so happy that you enjoy even my silly stories. Haha, I’m thinking of blogging regularly, but I’ll be writing more about personal matters than about products, so you won’t get much information about our products. Haha, please continue to love our store and Japanese jeans. Thank you.

*By the way, we currently open at 3pm. It’s also written on Instagram, so please come after 3pm the next time you come. Thank you.

Naoki Taguchi

Hello Taguchi-san! I am from California but originally from Taiwan. My brother and I love the items on your online store and particularly enjoy the descriptions/stories you include for each item on your website and on IG. Also very happy to see and read “Manager Naoki’s Blog.”

Please keep up the good work!

*btw, my wife, friends and I were in Shimokitazawa in late May and went to Bear’s, but the store was not open at noon for some reason (don’t remember what the sign said). We had to go somewhere else, so we couldn’t wait. Next time, we’ll try again!
