KOJIMA GENES

KOJIMA GENES

Kojima, a city of textiles, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. The craftsmen's passion for craftsmanship and the craftsmanship that has alive there has been passed down from person to person, from generation to generation, no matter how the machine evolves in the changing times.
That is exactly the genes of Kojima craftsmen.
The textile industry was active in Kojima, Okayama prefecture since the Edo period.
This is because the area was equipped with all three major elements of the textile industry: dyeing, weaving, and sewing.
Because there were no major industries other than the textile industry, many of the “people of Kojima” were involved in the work of “dyeing”, “weaving” and “sewing”, and the “people of Kojima” were proud of it. I'm still continuing my research.
As you probably know, jeans were born in Kojima in Japan.
In many magazines and media, it is also called “sacred place for jeans”.
The techniques of dyeing, weaving, and sewing jeans are recognized worldwide.
Jeans of "GUCCI" "LOUIS VUITTON" "DIOR" were born from Kojima.
We launched the brand "KOJIMA GENES" with a respect for the craftsmanship of "people from Kojima".
The concept is "play," "hobby," and "life." I would like to see "KOJIMA GENES" as one of the essential items.
We will continue to pursue the craftsmanship of "people from Kojima" and pursue "KOJIMA GENES" into a memorable brand.
