Shin-Okubo

Shin-Okubo

One of the towns I sometimes go to besides Shimokitazawa is Shin-Okubo.
Shin-Okubo is famous as a Korean town, but now it's not just Korean, but also has a mix of various Asian shops and cultures.
The town is overflowing with many races, including Japanese, Asians, Westerners, and many others, and the town is already chaotic. Haha
If you go there at night and walk through the back streets, you can feel the tension that makes you feel like you're not in Japan. Haha

But when I go to this town, I still go to eat Korean food.
There are many delicious things like jajangmyeon, samgyeopsal, and dak galbi, but this time I tried UFO chicken, which you can enjoy fried chicken and a lot of cheese, and pork bossam.
There are many shops run by Koreans, so I can guarantee the taste.
But I wonder if they've made some adjustments for Japanese people?
Anyway, it's delicious.

The super crispy fried chicken is delicious as it is, but if you add sweet and spicy yangnyeom sauce and cheese, it will definitely show up in a doping test. LOL

And bossam is a simple dish, but that's why you can enjoy the deliciousness and umami of pork to the fullest.

You can't do this unless you use good pork.
Good pork has delicious fat. Haha
And here's something I absolutely can't miss.
10 yen bread (10 won bread).

Slightly sweet castella-like dough with slightly salty cheese.
So simple, yet so delicious. Haha
There are many different sweets in this town, and 10 yen bread is already an old sweet.
But I haven't found anything that surpasses this.
This is the best.
Look at how this cheese stretches. LOL

Simple and rustic, but so delicious you can't stop eating.
Shin-Okubo, if you get a little tired of Japan during your long trip to Japan, it's a good place to come.
Don't forget to eat the 10 yen bread. Haha
