[tanuki "TNK501" SAZANAMI Corduroy Jacket]

This is tanuki's new Sazanami jacket.
Ren means "a wave with fine ripples," and this is a special item in many ways.
Based on the corduroy fabric that was all the rage in Japan in the 90s, tanuki found it in the archive. Instead of simply reproducing it, we wanted to add unique dyes to this soft yet durable fabric and have fun with it.

This fabric is pigment dyed with 3 vegetable dyes. Mud-dyed brown, natural indigo-dyed blue, bayberry (bayberry)-dyed green.
Experiments with this natural dye have received a lot of feedback over the past few years, and this item is a response to that voice.

In addition, the lining is made of high-density Japanese Ventile, which is woven with cotton threads pushed to the limit and the density is raised above the limit to improve wind resistance and water resistance.
The buttons are also military urea buttons, and the ribs are custom-made for this jacket with mil-spec.
In terms of design, it's a bomber jacket with a contemporary cut. The drop shoulders and inlays under the shoulders enhance mobility and fashion, and the slightly boxy design uses a shawl collar. Two handwarmer pockets and one inner pocket with zip.

The Sazanami Corduroy Jacket is a one-of-a-kind piece that fuses tanuki's love of ancient dyes with contemporary post-heritage menswear.
