SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles
SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles is a new label launched by Sugar Cane's Yuichi Fukutomi and bringing together denim specialists.
Commonly known as "SCSC". This time, we have invited Mr. Shigeteru Wakiya, one of the world's leading vintage denim collectors, to examine the uniqueness of these precious pieces, based on dead stock and golden size super vintage pieces that are so valuable that they are now impossible to obtain. ” will be completely reproduced.
In the first collection, we generously present four super vintage "Great War models" that are attracting the most attention in the current vintage market.
Since it is based on dead stock vintage that has not even been water-washed, the color of the indigo that has oxidized with the glue remaining and the spinning of the warp and weft used are more detailed than ever before. It can be analyzed, and the fabric has a finish that can be easily seen as vintage.
The parts are made in dead stock condition with the aim of creating a texture that has aged over time. This project also uses a two-needle iron buckle, which has been avoided for safety reasons, for the first time. Regarding the sewing, we reproduced the distorted stitch work where the thread count and sewing machine pitch are not uniform, and the width is not uniform.

A 1946 model that uses the original engraved buttons, but still has remnants of the Great War period in the texture and details of the fabric.
Since this is a model after the regulations were lifted, there is no S at the beginning of the product number. The fabric has a blue tinge compared to the 1943 model, and is a little more tame, but it seems to be from the late war period and is rougher than later denim.
The rivets are plain iron and feature a silver chrome lily buckle. Among the Great War models, the stitch work is relatively calm, but there are some places where the sewing machine pitch is rough.
The stitch color is the strongest yellow in this lineup. At first glance, it looks like a blouse from the early days of World War II, but it was determined to be a 1946 model based on the texture of the fabric and the fact that #7 waist overalls were found together with the deceased's suitcase as belongings from a private home in a rural town in the northwestern United States. did.
