SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles is a new label launched by Sugar Cane's Yuichi Fukutomi and bringing together denim specialists.

In the first collection, we generously present four super vintage "Great War models" that are attracting the most attention in the current vintage market.
Since it is based on dead stock vintage that has not even been water-washed, the color of the indigo that has oxidized with the glue remaining and the spinning of the warp and weft used are more detailed than ever before. It can be analyzed, and the fabric has a finish that can be easily seen as vintage.
The parts are made in dead stock condition with the aim of creating a texture that has aged over time. This project also uses a two-needle iron buckle, which has been avoided for safety reasons, for the first time. Regarding the sewing, we reproduced the distorted stitch work where the thread count and sewing machine pitch are not uniform, and the width is not uniform.

It is an extremely rough denim fabric with strong unevenness. This model was produced in 1943, when the material controls for domestic industry in the United States were at their most severe during World War II.
The fabric is rougher and darker than the 1946 model, and although it is only a few years old, it is a completely different fabric.

Deep rise and thick silhouette. It has a thick silhouette typical of a WWII model.
It is currently the model that is attracting the most attention from denim fans and American casual fans, and is becoming a standard model that is on par with the XX.

This model was produced in 1943, when the material control of domestic industry in the United States was at its most severe during World War II, with features such as general-purpose military donut buttons, iron rivets, and all-yellow stitching. The coin pocket rivets are omitted, and the concealed rivets are not plated and remain the color of the iron material.
In addition, flannel fabric is used for the bag material, which clearly embodies the idea of reducing cotton. Also, perhaps due to a lack of skilled workers, the stitching was very rough, with the stitch width not being consistent, the stitching on the yoke in the center of the back being misaligned, and the seam allowance on the left side being hemmed to one side. It is characterized by a finish that would pass inspection under normal circumstances.
