This is a reverse (horizontal) type sweatshirt made from Buzz Rickson's heavy brushed back sweat fabric. Conventional sweatshirts and sweatshirts tend to shrink vertically after repeated washing. Horizontal knitting is a way to overcome this problem by using the fabric horizontally.
Horizontal knitting uses the fabric of the body horizontally and switches to ribbed material on the sides. Horizontal means "horizontal direction". In addition to preventing the length from shrinking, it is designed to be stretchable both vertically and horizontally. Seamless shoulders provide a smooth fit without stress when worn, but it is not easy to handle as it requires cutting in a wide area and hollowing out the neck. The front V-shaped gusset is hollowed out into a V-shape and then fitted into a panel.
The U.S. military has long held sports competitions such as football between each military as an annual event, and the print is ``Go Army, Shattered Navy.'' ” is printed on it, making it clear that the design favors the Army.
Since it is intended to be worn as an inner layer when wearing a flight jacket, the armholes are narrower and the length is shorter. Although it has a military-style print, it goes well not only with military items but also with other American casual items.
