[JELADO "JP94407S" "S407XX" 1942 WPB L-181 War Model]
After approximately five years of development, LASTRESORT DENIM has completed its pinnacle wartime model, featuring a gold tag.
This piece was created in accordance with "L-181," a material control ordinance issued by the WPB (War Production Board) in August 1942, and takes into account the possibility that factories at the time produced this "Simplified Model."
JELADO's own deadstock denim was analyzed, and material data was obtained from a national testing agency.
Based on these data, the yarn twist and number of threads were adjusted, and the denim was reproduced on the oldest surviving TOYODA G3 loom. The fabric is made from 100% American Deep South cotton, with three counts (6, 7, and 8) randomly arranged.
This achieves the irregular fading characteristic of vintage denim.
The weft thread is made from the finest extra-long staple cotton, "Suvingold Supreme," with a length of 38mm.
The rope dyeing process took inspiration from deadstock, resulting in a deep, pure indigo. Finished with a 68 warp and 47 weft thread count on a TOYODA G3 loom, the fabric is supple and smooth to the touch.
The design is based on an early S506XX model owned by JELADO, faithfully recreating the feel of the wartime models of that time.
The engraved accessories found in the regular line have been reproduced, and the pockets have no flaps, following the simple specifications of the first model.
Based on the idea of reusing stock rivets that had been used since the 1930s, custom rivets were created with a lowercase "o" in "JELADO Co."
The buckle is also a reproduction of a 1930s buckle, finished in iron.
In addition, some of the double stitching features rainbow stitching, recreating the look of vintage pieces.
The color fades more deeply with wear, allowing you to enjoy the unique texture that can only be achieved with vintage denim.
Born from analysis of deadstock, this is the pinnacle of denim that can be reproduced in modern times.
