Like the Sukajan, which was born in postwar Japan, the Viet-Jean is a souvenir jacket that was created during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s.
Two types of fabric are mainly used: cotton twill or a camouflage ciju pattern poncho liner, and the pattern is embroidered with matte thick colored thread.
This time, it is available in the classic cotton twill and black.
This is a reproduction of a jacket that was custom-made by a US soldier stationed in Vietnam in 1969 and brought back to the United States.
The main motif is the Vietnam map, which is a classic design, but each embroidery has its own characteristics.
The tiger head on the chest is a sharper design than the others. It is also rare that the character "fuku" (luck) is drawn with two colors of colored thread.
The center of the map on the back is embroidered with a cross, which is also not seen in other Vietnam map patterns. The message at the top of the back is interrupted, but this is also reproduced based on the vintage.
The armholes are slightly narrower, and it's a simpler item than it looks, so you can enjoy it with your outfit.
The outer fabric is cotton and the inner fabric is rayon, so it feels nice against the skin, and you can enjoy the texture, feel, and feel of this piece.
