ART BROWN was established in 1974—a time when, although jeans were gradually gaining popularity in Japan, there were no suitable belts to pair with them. The workshop was founded with the goal of crafting robust belts designed specifically for jeans.
Since our inception, we have remained dedicated to our unique belt-making process. We use single-layer leather so thick that it cannot be cut with standard scissors, and every one of our belts and leather accessories is handcrafted in Japan by skilled Japanese artisans.
