[BIG JOHN、M6011W、WW2 Model Jacket]
Inspired by UNKNOWN vintage jeans made by a store-based brand in the 1940s, this piece has been reconstructed from a BIG JOHN perspective.
Based on the "WWII Model," which was constructed with the bare minimum necessary due to wartime material restrictions, it has been faithfully updated with modern craftsmanship and technology for practicality.
Crafted from the same 10oz light-ounce denim as the entire series, the M6011W WWII MODEL JACKET was designed based on the hypothesis, "What if BIG JOHN had made jackets in the 1940s?"
This jacket fully captures the unique creases, fading, and patina of denim.
The fuzziness unique to short fibers, the rough texture created by neps, dry feel, and uneven surface texture are faithfully reproduced.
High-density weaving on an old-fashioned power loom results in a new light-ounce denim with a vintage look and a chewy, firm texture.
This classic work jacket features front pleats and red selvedge lining the placket (a subtle vintage element hidden inside).
It features laurel-patterned iron donut buttons and is one-washed and sun-dried for a natural texture.
Large-capacity pockets on both chests enhance usability. The tasteful cotton thread stitching adds to the vintage quality.
Can be worn as a set with the M1011W WWII model jeans made from the same material.
While maintaining a classic look, its minimalist design avoids excessive decoration, making it suitable for both casual and sophisticated looks.
A typical BIG JOHN product that brings the rationalistic workwear philosophy of the 1940s into the modern era.
The product has been pre-washed and sun-dried, but several centimetres of shrinkage is expected.
Please be sure to check the quality label when washing or ironing. Avoid tumble drying and chlorine bleach.
Due to the characteristics of denim, indigo dye may transfer colour. Please be careful when wearing with light-coloured clothing.
