It is no exaggeration to say that the M-65, which was adopted in the mid-1960s, is the ultimate field jacket, incorporating a wealth of wisdom and ingenuity accumulated through research and trial and error over the 30 years since the U.S. military began developing field jackets.
The M-65 was put into action during the Vietnam War and saw its use in action.
The soldiers of the time customized their jackets to their heart's content, embroidering them with the patch of their unit or a map of Vietnam, the site of fierce battles.
Some of the pieces were hand-painted by soldiers with an artistic flair, instantly transforming a simple and modest military uniform into a gorgeous jacket.
The back of this jacket features an impressive depiction of army soldiers galloping in tanks.
The art of Ed Ross, a master and artist who built custom car culture in the United States, became very popular in the United States during the Vietnam War.
