[BUZZ RICKSON'S "BR43042" World War 2 Black Denim Waist Overalls]
These denim waist overalls were created as a result of supply controls imposed during World War II to alleviate supply shortages.
The rivets on the coin pocket opening and the bartacks on the hip pockets that were featured on previous models have been omitted.
In keeping with William Gibson's worldview, the leather label is foil-stamped in black and the flasher is monochrome.
The "FOR THE DURATION" on the flasher means "for the duration of the war," and notes that the specifications were changed due to supply controls until the end of the war.
In the 1940s, the US government awarded the E Pennant, standing for Excellent, to companies that produced excellent munitions.
During the war, Buzz Rickson's served as a flight jacket contractor and was awarded the E Pennant, making this a dream come true for the flasher.

Our original 13.6oz selvedge black denim.
It has a rough texture that perfectly recreates the feel of denim from that time.
The grayish fading that is unique to black denim gives it an even more vintage feel.
silhouette
The silhouette is a wide straight that seems to be a war model.
The rise is deep and the silhouette is thick. It is a classic straight straight.
A timeless standard silhouette that every denim fan and American casual fan will go through once.

Iron arabesque doughnut buttons. Rivets have been omitted from the coin pocket due to wartime material restrictions.
The label shrinks rapidly when exposed to heat, so care must be taken when handling it. The back yoke has a unique design with a difference in height between the left and right sides.
Made from olive-colored herringbone twill. The selvedge can be seen inside the pocket.
While bar tacks are usually used above the hidden rivets, wartime models feature a lockstitch.
