These denim waist overalls were created under wartime control measures to alleviate material shortages during World War II.
The rivets on the coin pocket opening and the bar tacks on the hip pockets, which were present in previous models, were omitted.
In keeping with William Gibson's aesthetic, the leather label features black foil stamping, and the flasher uses a monochrome design.
The phrase "FOR THE DURATION" on the flasher means "during the war," indicating that the specifications were changed due to material controls until the end of the war.
In the 1940s, the US government awarded the "E" pennant, meaning "Excellent," to companies that produced superior military supplies to recognize their achievements.
This flasher fulfills the dream of Buzz Rickson's, which served as a flight jacket contractor during the war and received the "E" pennant.

While bar tacks are usually used above the hidden rivets, the use of lockstitching is a characteristic of wartime models.
