This is our first attempt at using black denim, but by using stitching in the same color as the material, we have created an item that combines attention to detail with ease of coordination.
The denim fabric is our classic 11.5oz super smooth black denim made from Zimbabwe cotton.
Zimbabwe cotton is renowned for its high quality.
This extra-long staple cotton is individually hand-picked and is easy to produce strong, unevenly twisted yarn with few seams. This creates a stretchy, soft texture that feels soft against the skin, resulting in denim that is renowned for its ease of wear.
Using 100% the finest natural materials and carefully crafting the fabric on old-fashioned power looms over a long period of time, we are able to create denim that is both comfortable and durable.
Furthermore, the unique vertical fading, creases, and whiskers of vintage jeans, which are only possible because the fabric is woven on an old-fashioned power loom, are impeccably finished, allowing you to enjoy the charm of vintage jeans themselves.
The details are all faithful to World War II, including newly made iron arabesque doughnut buttons, unmarked punched rivets, and the size of the front pleat hold-down stitching.
This time, we've avoided the amateur stitching seen on wartime models, and instead used a strong, tight stitching that accentuates the puckering.
Sizes 44 and up come with a thong.
Fullcount, which has always prioritized a stress-free fit, has created this wartime model jacket using 11.5oz super smooth black denim that is lighter, softer, and more comfortable to wear in the summer, while maintaining the color fading of the 13.7oz denim that has been its flagship material for many years.
