This marks our first attempt at creating a "WWII-era style" jacket using ecru denim; by matching the stitching color to the fabric, we have achieved a balance between meticulous attention to detail and versatile wearability.
The fabric utilizes Zimbabwean cotton, renowned for its exceptional quality.
This hand-picked, extra-long staple cotton allows for the creation of durable, loosely twisted, and naturally slubby yarns with minimal breaks. These yarns yield a fabric that offers a soft, flexible feel against the skin, resulting in denim celebrated for its comfort and ease of wear.
By using 100% premium natural materials and carefully weaving them on vintage power looms, we produce denim that is both comfortable and highly durable.
The weaving process on these vintage looms creates the authentic vertical fading—where individual slub points connect to form vertical streaks—as well as the characteristic "whiskering" and "honeycomb" crease patterns found in vintage jeans, delivering a look and charm that rivals the originals.
This item features our signature 11.5oz "Super Smooth" ecru denim made from Zimbabwean cotton.
With repeated wear, the fabric fades into a beautiful, clean white denim.
The details faithfully reproduce WWII-era specifications, including custom-made iron donut buttons featuring an *arabesque* (scrollwork) pattern, unbranded punch-through rivets, and precise stitching dimensions for the front pleats.
Unlike some WWII models that mimic amateurish sewing, this jacket features robust, high-tension stitching designed to accentuate the puckering effect.
Fullcount has always prioritized a stress-free fit. This WWII-style jacket utilizes our 11.5oz "Super Smooth" ecru denim—lighter and softer for summer comfort—while retaining the excellent fading characteristics of our long-standing flagship 13.7oz denim.
