An aviator work vest made from a fabric with a sashiko-like feel, produced on a dobby loom. While possessing a rich texture, it has a slightly uneven and rougher appearance compared to sashiko, yet retains a firm feel. Dobby looms are characterized by the regular, continuous patterns woven into the fabric, known as dobby patterns. This sashiko-style fabric, woven with a fine yet firm sashiko pattern, is slightly thicker, making it perfect for the cooler autumn and winter months. Unlike plain fabrics, it offers the enjoyment of a handmade sashiko weave. Originally, sashiko was a traditional technique used to strengthen fabric; thicker sashiko fabrics are wrinkle-resistant and easy to care for. Taking advantage of these fabric characteristics, the vest combines a military-inspired feel with the style of a double-breasted coat. With a detachable placket, this versatile vest allows you to enjoy both a classic dressy and workwear look. It has a slightly fitted design, but it will become more comfortable with wear.
