This three-pocket model is a representative waist overall from Green Baum.
Warehouse has reproduced a model that existed in 1874.
Denim
The denim is a light-ounce twill (2/1 twill: twill weave with two warp threads and one weft thread) with a thin count used for the weft, which was rare for this era.
When analyzing the original, it is about 7.5 count x 16 count, but even when fading, the warp threads are stronger.
It is possible that this denim was imported from France as a European fabric attached to New York, which was popular at the time.
Silhouette
The thigh area is not extremely wide, and has a neat straight cut.
The rise is slightly deep, making it very easy to wear and straight without any quirks.
The fit around the waist and the line that does not narrow at the knees make for a moderate hem width that fits both sneakers and boots.
Details
The rivet area was patented in 1874 and is reinforced with leather. The front pocket does not have a coin pocket.
The three-dimensional L-shape is also clearly an original feature. Greenbaum was also an importer and had a base in New York.
The leather reinforcement was likely heavily influenced by the 1873 rivet patent.
It is easy to imagine that consumers used this stress point as a point of comparison when purchasing, so various measures were taken in this area, including the use of thread rivets.
Regardless of the condition of the existing archives, most of the leather reinforcements are not damaged, so the strength of the reinforcement is considered to be reliable.
