Ground-Alls Reissue
This black denim was born in 1903, during the early days of workwear.
For many years, the fabric languished in the depths of a warehouse.
Then, in 1942, during wartime, when supplies were scarce, this forgotten black denim was reborn.
Paying homage to its historical background, we have reconstructed it as a highly sought-after wartime model.
Sizes 46 and 50 have been added to the lineup, and it has been reissued today as the "G-S506TBK."
Sewing (About the hem stitching)
Hem stitching is a highly important technique for sewing armholes.
In today's world, the number of craftsmen with this exceptional skill is declining, resulting in a decline in production efficiency.
Hem stitching is a delicate technique that can only be beautifully executed by skilled artisans.
One-piece sleeve
This extremely rare one-piece sleeve features only underarm stitching.
While most models feature two-piece sleeves with seams on both sides, single-piece sleeves are made from a single piece of fabric, resulting in fewer seams and a significantly more time-consuming manufacturing process.
The unique silhouette is a defining feature of single-piece sleeves.
Fabric
The black denim used in the G-S506TBK is a special edition, with a rope-dyed black warp thread and an undyed off-white weft.
This faithfully reproduces the texture and feel of the original material.
Twill construction. 12.5 oz. red-edge selvedge rope-dyed (warp only) on an old-fashioned shuttle loom.
The black indigo fade deepens with each wash.
Split back
This feature is only found on oversizes 46 inches and above, featuring a T-back design with intersecting stitching lines where the back yoke and back fabric are joined.
Buttons & Buckles
Iron laurel one-star buttons are used.
The cinch buckle is an iron lily buckle, previously used on wartime models.
100% Cotton Thread
Shrinkage creates puckering, creating a comfortable feel. This contributes to the fabric's appealing appearance.
Rayon Red Tab
This red tab is now difficult to produce. This jacquard weave is made from rayon dyed red, just like the original.
Oxidized Rivets
Universal's original copper oxide rivets are created by burning copper.
Leather Labels
Goatskin with a down leather label placed under the fabric (a rare design from the early 1940s).
Sold in rigid condition.
By soaking the fabric in water once in its rigid state, the weave tightens, creating a unique firmness and depth.
The black color develops into a more powerful, deeper hue.
The increased density of the weave accentuates the shadows created by the rope dyeing of the warp threads, revealing different expressions depending on the angle of the light.
This is the greatest appeal of this fabric.
Please take your time to enjoy the tasteful change in the texture of the fabric as it changes from "rigid black" to "tight black."

・Jeans may have fold wrinkles. These may have been wrinkles from when we stored the item, or from when the manufacturer stored it, but in any case, folding wrinkles are not defective products but genuine products, so please note that we cannot accept exchanges or returns.
・Denim may transfer color, so please be careful when washing and what you wear with it.

The manufacturer has stated that it will shrink by approximately 1-2 inches in length and 1 inch in width when washed.
