Denim
In 1990, the original members of Ground-Alls were passionate about the G-WWII-SP war model, which they pioneered.
The G-WWII-SP war model was a faithful reproduction (sampling) of several pairs of denim that resonated with them from among the dozens of LEVIS war models (1942-1945 S501XX) they owned.
This time, the G-WWII-Special model was created and supervised by the original members, retaining the essence of the S501XX without changing the pattern, while further refining the essence.
The denim is produced using a shuttle loom based on the recipes of the time (finishing, dyeing, weaving), and is made from American cotton with low oil content.
We are committed to selling rope-dyed denim in rigid form.
The denim is woven from 100% USA cotton (made in Japan) and weighs 13.75oz unwashed, and 14.71oz when washed in water.
Pure indigo rope dyed, with 66 warp threads and 48 weft threads.
Silhouette
The silhouette is a straight model typical of a wartime model.
The rise is deep, giving it a very roomy straight cut typical of a wartime model.
Details
100% cotton thread.
We use 100% cotton thread for the stitching, using two colors of thread: orange and yellow.
Due to the poor durability of cotton thread, fading and shrinking can cause puckering, creating a nice atmosphere.
This contributes to the so-called good looks.
Based on the vintage style of the time, we used two colors of cotton thread instead of all-yellow stitching.
Chrome button.
A reproduction of the early Ground-Alls WWII-SP.
Black special order chrome laurel two-prong.
Sleek.
Shadow check, 100% cotton.
"Yellow herringbone check flannel," which has its roots in 1940s work shirt culture, is used for the lining.
Paint stitch.
The paint stitch on the back pocket is an essential detail for wartime models, so after much trial and error, we decided to use the same ink and shape as the original, creating Ground-Alls' original paint stitch.
Red tab.
Like the original, this item is made of red-dyed rayon and features a Silverstone S mark.
Quinchi (side stitching thread)
The quinchi, which is subject to stress, uses a 6-count thread. It is reinforced with 7-9 inch threads.
Punched rivets.
GA-SL & CO. stamp.
Hidden rivets.
A custom-made circular rivet is used for the edge, sewn in one thread by hand while folding the garment without the need for an iron.
Chain stitch whiskers.
The chain stitch whiskers, which Ground-Alls started as a joke back then, are proof that the item was made using traditional methods.
Please note that although the photo shows the included box, no dedicated box will be included from now on.
*Notes*
- Metal fittings such as buttons, rivets, zippers, and buckles may damage your body or other objects, so please handle them with care.
- Because denim is woven on old-fashioned power looms, there may be unevenness, small scratches, and balls in the fabric, but these are not defective products but genuine products, so please understand that we cannot accept exchanges or returns.
- Jeans may have creases. These may be creases from when we stored them, or they may have been caused by the manufacturer when storing them, but in any case, creases from folding are not defective products but genuine products, so please understand that we cannot accept exchanges or returns.
- Denim may transfer color, so please be careful when washing and what you wear with it.

*The above values were measured with the raw denim laid flat.
The jeans will shrink when soaked in water, so they will shrink when washed.
When we shrunk them in our store using a dryer, the waist shrunk by about 4-5cm and the length by 7-8cm.
These are only estimates, but please use them as a reference.
*The above values are measured when the item is laid flat after one wash.
We lay it on the floor, remove any wrinkles, and measure the fabric flat.
The size numbers will vary by a few centimeters depending on the individual product, the measurement method, and the amount of force used.
The size chart is therefore only a guide and may differ from the actual numbers.
*The product photos are taken with a digital camera.
Please note that color may differ slightly from the actual product due to the LCD screen, etc.
