Woven on vintage shuttle looms—which offer limited production capacity—this selvedge denim stands as a testament to quality born of time and artisan skill.
Characterized by the "selvedge" (self-edge) on both sides, the fabric offers exceptional durability; the yarns, dyed in layers via the rope-dyeing process, create beautiful fading patterns as the denim is worn in.
Leveraging expertise derived from its textile manufacturer roots, this denim is designed with the long term in mind, allowing you to enjoy the process of "breaking it in."
As you wear it, the denim develops deeper character, eventually evolving into a unique, one-of-a-kind pair that is truly your own.
This Type 2 denim jacket is crafted from 14oz selvedge denim.
The warp threads incorporate "brown cotton"—which possesses a natural, unbleached hue—while the weft threads utilize "Suvin cotton," an extra-long staple variety known for its suppleness and luster.
Despite its substantial thickness, the fabric offers a soft, lightweight feel.
The uneven slub texture and the fuzz remaining on the surface create a rich, dimensional appearance with great depth.
By rope-dyeing the brown-cotton-based warp threads with pure indigo, the fabric achieves a deep, complex shade of blue.
As you wear it over time, you can enjoy the beautiful fading characteristic of vintage denim.
It features a classic design with pockets on both sides of the chest.
While retaining a traditional look, the silhouette is well-balanced, offering just the right amount of room in the arms and body.
The denim is finished with a "one-wash" process that preserves the texture of raw, unwashed fabric.
