Characterized by the "selvedge" (self-edge) on both sides, the fabric offers exceptional durability; the yarns, dyed in layers via the rope-dyeing process, create beautiful fading patterns as the denim is worn in.
Leveraging expertise derived from its textile manufacturer roots, this denim is designed with the long term in mind, allowing you to enjoy the process of "breaking it in."
As you wear it, the denim develops deeper character, eventually evolving into a unique, one-of-a-kind pair that is truly your own.

Introducing a new 14oz selvedge denim from JAPAN BLUE JEANS.
The warp threads incorporate "brown cotton"—featuring the fiber's natural, unbleached hue—while the weft threads utilize "Suvin cotton," an extra-long staple variety known for its suppleness and lustrous sheen.
Despite its substantial weight, the fabric offers a soft, lightweight feel when worn.
The uneven "slub" texture and the fuzz (nap) remaining on the surface create a rich, dimensional character with impressive depth.
Furthermore, the brown-cotton-based warp threads are rope-dyed with pure indigo; this creates a deep blue tone that evolves over time, gradually revealing the warm, natural character of the brown cotton as the denim is worn and broken in.
This denim comes in a "one-wash" finish that retains the authentic texture of raw denim.
