[JELADO "AB11212" Skull Snake Sweat Shirt]
This is a JELADO flocked print sweatshirt.
It is finished with electroplating print based on the vintage color flocking that Gerard has collected for many years.
As always, we asked Riding High to make the body, and they made a sweatshirt with our unique freedom sleeve.
This time, it is available in a black body with a good print. For the print, we used electroplating flocking by a skilled craftsman in his 80s.
It has more processes than normal printing, and the finish is very detailed. Since there are very few craftsmen who can inherit this technique, it is very valuable.
This design reproduces the skull and snake embroidery on the storage case of a flight jacket made during the Vietnam War with flocking. Since the zodiac sign for 2025 is the snake, we are developing this design.
The body is manufactured using an old knitting machine called Azuma knitting machine. The knitting with a round body (no side seams) creates a highly elastic, soft, and plump texture that is different from conventional ones. The Azuma knitting machine is a rare knitting machine used to make fleece with a vintage texture and lightness.
It appeared in the 1970s during the transition from hanging knitting machines to innovative knitting machines, and because it is knitted slowly, there are few of them in existence. As a result, you can enjoy the uneven surface and fluffy texture. In the case of round brushing, it takes four times more effort than normal brushing to evenly brush four sides according to the flat surface. Brushing before dyeing brings out the unique texture of the material. Most of the sewing is done with a double needle, and the cuffs are made of circular knit ribbing. The cuff ribbing is ribbed in one go from the double needle sewing under the armpits, faithfully reproducing the vintage sewing method. This sweatshirt is a piece that allows you to enjoy the unique texture and details of the time.
