This year, we will carefully select from JELADO's treasured collection and recreate the best vintage items over the course of a year.
One of the highlights of this collection is the USMC (United States Marine Corps) M-44 Monkey Pants, which are currently skyrocketing in market value.
The M-44 Monkey Pants is a model developed in 1944 at the end of World War II, and its unique design and functionality are its charms.
Commonly known as "Monkey Pants," they were produced for a very short period of time, from July 1944 to around October 1945, and were issued to the elite unit of the US Marine Corps, so the total number produced was small, making them very rare and valuable pants. These pants were designed for field use, and their design emphasizes ease of movement when crawling forward or leaning forward.
A particularly distinctive feature is the large pocket placed at the back, designed to store rations (food grenades).
The material used this time is a specially dyed herringbone twill, also used in the CM47.
Herringbone is a durable fabric whose ridges stand out due to variations in the twist, and is dyed using sulfuric acid to faithfully reproduce the colors of vintage items.
The more you wear it, the more the color fades, allowing you to enjoy the deep, vintage-like aging that occurs over time.
In addition, the buttons are made of iron with dome-shaped feet to enhance the vintage atmosphere.
