[JELADO "SG94412" POMONA Leather Pharaoh Jacket]
The 2025 collection theme, "THE CREAM OF THE CACHE," means "the finest collection," and throughout the year, JELADO has focused on recreating carefully selected vintage items from its collection.
This time, we have created a leather pharaoh coat named "POMONA."
This pharaoh jacket, with a leather body - an extremely rare piece even among vintage pieces from the 1950s - has been crafted from JELADO's standard semi-aniline-finished horse leather.
The material is approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide, tanned with a chrome and tannin combination.
After chrome tanning, the solvent is washed away and the leather is tanned again with tannin, bringing out the unique texture of the tannins, resulting in a rich feel and a character that develops with wear.
The base is dyed light brown, and then sprayed with black using a hill dyeing method at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo, recreating the deep texture unique to brown-core leather.
This time, to achieve a deeper black, we've used a semi-aniline finish, which is a blend of equal parts pigment and dye.
This balances the penetration of the dye with the durability of the pigment, allowing the brown of the underlying fabric to emerge the more you wear it, resulting in a unique aging experience that you can enjoy.
The ribbing is made from jacquard ribbing, a material highly regarded in vintage garments, and the quilted lining improves warmth.
The texture deepens with wear, resulting in a one-of-a-kind Pharaoh Jacket. We hope you enjoy watching the changes that occur.
