[LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING "50155-0080" 501XX 1955 Model 501 JEANS One Wash]
This is a reproduction model of the 501, which was hugely popular among rebellious young people of the 50s as a symbol of freedom and rebellion.
It features an "anti-fit" design with more room around the waist and one of the wider, straighter silhouettes of all 501 models.
In order to meet growing demand, efforts were made to improve productivity, and the paper Two-Horse patch, which was cheaper and more readily available than leather, was also introduced for the first time around this time.
Its distinctive boxy silhouette, unlike that of any other era, has many fans, making it a stand-out model among the 501s.
denim
The fabric used by LVC is produced by Kaihara, a leading Japanese denim manufacturer.
It uses organic cotton.
This fabric uses advanced Japanese technology to realistically recreate the rough denim texture of the denim produced by Cone Mills at the time.
Woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom, the denim is approximately 27-29 inches wide and is characterized by both ends being sewn with red thread (red selvedge).
Because the fabric is made to the fullest extent possible, selvedge can be seen on the outer seams and the back of the watch pocket, creating a detail known as red selvedge. This denim retains the natural texture of the cotton thread, which adds to its appeal as it develops a unique texture with wear.
The color fades more vividly than previous products.

The silhouette is "anti-fit" with a deliberately loose fit around the waist. It features a wide, straight, boxy silhouette.

The button fly front, synonymous with the 501, is made up of five zinc buttons.
The top button features a reinforcing V-stitch, a characteristic of 501s from before the 1960s.
The buttons are engraved with the brand name, and copper rivets with the brand name are also included.
The watch pocket is rivet-equipped, and the stitching around the front pockets is two-tone.
Copper rivets with the brand name are also used.
Of course, the twin-needle arcuate stitching is still in place.
*This product is one-wash.
It has the same denim and details as the raw denim 1955 model, but the sizing is different.
Please note that even if you wash, dry, and shrink a 30-inch raw denim jersey, it will not fit the same as the 30-inch jersey of this one-wash model.
This product does not come with a Levi's eco bag.
