D'ARTISAN, which takes its name from French, began as a store modeled after a small French boutique.
The concept was "expressing a new fashion culture through jeans."
Orgueil follows a similar foundation, starting with a small selection of items and small batches.
Before the rise of the rider's jacket, from the 1910s to the 1930s, leather sports jackets were popular among motorcyclists.
They were typically made from horsehide, had cuffs on the sleeves, and pleats on the back.
Designs from this era were simpler than modern rider jackets, making them more versatile for everyday wear.
They also had a unique appeal that set them apart from rider jackets and military styles.
Orgueil retains classic details from the era, such as D-pockets and center belts, while incorporating tailored elements and unique adjustments to silhouettes and materials, resulting in designs ideal for everyday wear.
The horsehide used is milled leather, which is finished by rotating it in a drum without adding water after the drying process.
This brings out the leather's natural texture and results in a soft finish that feels comfortable against the skin.
The stiffness typical of raw horsehide is reduced for a better fit.
Includes an original hanger
This hanger allows you to hang jackets and shirts in their original shape without distorting them.
We asked a Japanese craftsman to create a sample of our original hanger.
The wood used is beech, a fine-grained, hard, and resistant to cracking that is often used for furniture.
Each piece is carefully rounded by hand.
