[STUDIO D'ARTISAN "D4631" Amami Oshima Mud-Dyed GL3 Denim Jacket]
``GL3 Denim'' is an original 15oz selvedge denim that was designed using D'Artisan's unique recipes, including the uneven shape of the threads, the count, and the number of stitches in the vertical and horizontal directions, in order to maximize the characteristics of Toyota Industries' power loom ``GL3'', which was created half a century ago.
It has a unique uneven feel and rough texture that cannot be expressed with modern efficient and uniform mass-produced denim.
The jacket is made from such special denim and is dyed using "Amami mud dyeing", a technique that has been passed down from ancient times on Amami Oshima.
Each garment is carefully dyed using the power of nature, using dyes from the Teach tree (Japanese plum tree) that grows naturally on the island, and iron-rich mud derived from geological formations that are over 1.5 million years old.
It is characterized by depth and warmth of color that cannot be reproduced with artificial dyes.
