[STUDIO D'ARTISAN "SD-DO1" DO1 Jeans(Regular Straight)]
STUDIO D'ARTISAN, which means "artisan's workshop", is a brand from Osaka that has released various items since its debut in 1979. It is the original manufacturer of replica jeans, and is so particular that it divides its products into "natural indigo denim", which has a heavy color fade even among natural indigo dyes, and "pure indigo denim", which has clear shades.
On the other hand, it continues to attract fans with its humorous items using "pig" characters.
Denim
"DO1" is STUDIO D'ARTISAN's memorable first model and the world's first vintage selvedge jeans.
The fabric of the "DO1" newly recreated for this project was created by studying the original fabric and recreating the number of twists and unevenness of the No. 6 yarn, which was spun from the beginning.
The dyeing process is done using Tokushima Tade Syouai(Natural Indigo) "kase dyeing", and the process of "dyeing, drying, dyeing, drying" is repeated 20 times, with no time or effort spared, to dye it dark navy blue.
The new "DO1" maintains the stylish thickness inherited from French workwear.
The original TokushimaTade Syouai(Natural Indigo) kase dyed 15oz denim has a beautiful color that is unique to natural indigo.
Silhouette
The silhouette is regular straight.
It has no kinks, is neither too thick nor too thin, and has a beautiful classic XX-like silhouette.
Details
It uses original copper punched rivets and, of course, features a leather patch.
The front has a button fly, which is also original.
It has a cinch back and is full of thoughtful details such as off-center belt loops.
