STUDIO D'ARTISAN is a brand from Osaka that has released various items since its debut in 1979. Using the traditional Japanese dyeing technique "sakura dyeing", we have created original denim that expresses the scenery of the four seasons. By wearing the delicate colors created by ancient Japanese plants, you can feel the elegance of nature.
"Sakura dyeing" is a dyeing method that uses the bark and branches of cherry blossoms to dye threads in cherry blossom pink. In order to obtain the cherry blossom pink, it is necessary to dye using bark harvested just before the cherry blossoms bloom.
The gentle, pale, and delicate cherry blossom color that is not too assertive gives a sense of natural elegance. The warp threads are dyed with natural indigo and then cherry blossom dyed, and the weft threads are also cherry blossom dyed. By layering cherry blossom dye on indigo, it becomes a slightly purple indigo color.
It has a moderate sense of roominess, and unlike the 1st, the back cinch has been eliminated and it can be adjusted with buttons, which enhances its functionality as workwear.
With a simple design, it is the most popular type at the moment.
