[SUGAR CANE "SC15920" 10.5oz. SUGAR CANE DENIM WORK COAT]
This work coat is crafted from 10.5 oz. "sugarcane denim," woven using a #9 warp yarn and an #11 weft yarn.
Based on early 20th-century work coats, it features distinctive details such as removable "change buttons" on the front and a diagonally positioned watch pocket on the left chest.
The original buttons carry a bold presence, while the uniform white stitching stands out beautifully against the denim.
The fabric incorporates 15% sugarcane fiber, resulting in a unique, textured "neppy" (slubby) appearance.
As this sugarcane denim fades, it develops a distinct, textured character—a look quite different from that of conventional denim.
The label found on the underside of the collar is exclusive to this sugarcane denim line, featuring a design that differs from standard SUGAR CANE branding.
Additionally, an interior pocket provides excellent storage capacity, making the garment highly practical.
With its unconventional collar construction and unique facing fabric—elements rarely seen in modern designs—combined with the distinctive texture of the material, this coat promises to age beautifully, offering a unique evolution as it fades over time.
