SUGAR CANE Super "Denim" Collectibles
SUGAR CANE Super "Denim" Collectibles is a new label launched by Sugar Cane's Yuichi Fukutomi, who has gathered denim specialists.
Commonly known as "SCSC". This time, we will welcome Shigeki Wakiya, one of the world's leading vintage denim collectors, to perfectly reproduce the "individuality" of these precious items based on super vintage deadstock and golden sizes that are now so valuable that they can hardly be obtained.
In the first collection, we generously present four super vintage items from the "war model," which is currently attracting the most attention in the vintage market.
Because they are based on deadstock vintage items that have not even been washed, we have been able to analyze in more detail than ever before the oxidized indigo color with remaining glue, and the spinning of the warp and weft threads used, and the fabric has a finish that is indistinguishable from vintage at a glance.
The parts are made in a deadstock state with the aim of creating a texture that has aged over time. For the first time in this project, we have used two-needle iron buckles, which have been avoided for safety reasons. As for the sewing, we have reproduced the distorted stitch work with uneven width, as well as the thread count and sewing machine pitch.
Denim / Details
Despite the "S" at the beginning of the product number, these waist overalls from around late 1945 have rivets on the coin pocket.
The buttons on the top and fly are iron tack buttons with logos, and the rivets are plain iron rivets.
The vintage items are unwashed and in mint condition. This is a very rare item with an "A" stamped after the product number, and only two vintage pairs with an "A" have been confirmed in the world.
The fabric is 14oz denim with strong unevenness and roughness. The direction of the grain of the fabric on the pocket and facing is irregular, and the stitching on the tip of the coin pocket is slightly uneven, giving it the rough construction typical of a "war model."
Silhouette
The rise is deep and the silhouette is thick. It has a thick silhouette like the 1937 model and the war model.
