[SUN SURF "SS39615" S/S Rayon Hawaiian Shirt “WHITE GINGER”]
This shirt was created by Hawaiian Casuals, a company founded in 1951 on Bethel Street in downtown Honolulu.
The design features white ginger, one of the flowers used in Hawaiian leis, beloved by the people of Hawaii for its elegant appearance and dignified fragrance.
While many vintage aloha shirts feature designs of tropical flowers, this shirt is extremely rare, with its geometric pattern laid out across the background.
The material is rayon habutae (filament rayon), which offers excellent heat dissipation and a lustrous finish.
The buttons are made from carved coconut shells, giving the garment an even stronger Hawaiian design feel.
