[TCB jeans "Cathartt Chore Coat Paw Stripe"]
A new color, Paw Stripe, has been added to our Cathartt Chore Coat, which was created using heart buttons.
Mixing the heart stripe that existed in vintage Carhartt with TCB's signature Cats Paw design, the finished garment is classic and cool.
But upon closer inspection, it reveals a cute side, resulting in a Chore Coat with a dual nature.
We use a continuous dyeing machine, one of the few in Japan capable of indigo dyeing of raw fabric. After indigo dyeing, a discharge print is applied using a cylinder to remove the color, and then a beige print is applied.
Because the beige is applied over the white-dyed heart pattern, the hearts have a slightly blurred outline. While you can sometimes see Wabash fabrics with blurred outlines, these types of prints also need to be replaced over time as the edges and outlines of the discharge print become softer.
For this TCB-exclusive Wabash fabric, if the outlines of the hearts and paws were too sharp, it might be a little too flashy. However, the slightly goofy expression from the start is another charming and cool point.
The details of the Chore Coat itself, like the denim version, are based on vintage Carhartt pieces from the 1940s and 50s, but various reference materials were used to create a 1920s feel that matches the MASTER CLOTH name, heart buttons, and historical accuracy.
The square collar with a seam down the middle, the change buttons attached with eyelets, the adjustable first button and cuffs, the set-in sleeves, and the low sleeve cap (also reproduced in the TWO CATS BLOUSE) are all details that showcase TCB's attention to detail.
The silhouette is slightly relaxed. It's easy to wear and the silhouette is easy to match with various fashion styles.
*Both the front buttons and cuff buttons are change buttons.
They are less durable than regular buttons, so we recommend removing the buttons before washing.
In case of damage or loss, we have buttons in stock, but they will be provided at a cost.
