[TCB jeans "New S40's Jacket 14oz"]
We've revamped our S40's Jacket, which we've been making for the past five years.
At the time, the mood was to offer ease of wear by slightly shortening the length and narrowing the armholes, while still referencing vintage styles.
However, after some time, and revisiting vintage pieces, we came to want to create an S40's jacket with the same silhouette.
The new S40's jacket has the same length, width, and sleeve angle as the vintage version.
The fabric remains the same, so those who own S40's Jeans can wear it as a set.
Of course, some people will say they liked the previous silhouette, while others will say, "We've been waiting for this!"
In baseball terms, a home run is 100% a home run no matter how you look at it.
But one of the joys of making clothes is that the line between a home run and a strikeout isn't always clear.
That's why we believe that continuing to throw the best strikes we can muster is the raison d'être of TCB, and what's important to us.

This model uses 14oz denim produced under the new product number "TCB WW2".
The fabric has a natural uneven texture due to the blend of three types of American cotton—Eastern Memphis, New Orleans, and Texas—and the machine settings.
The cotton blend is designed to reproduce the creamy, muted color of the original.
The vintage piece owned by TCB that served as the basis for this model is a rare example with uneven pleat heights.
From a production perspective, it seems that markings were made to indicate where to sew the pleats, and the person sewing the left side sewed upwards from the mark, while the person sewing the right side sewed downwards. Regardless of the veracity of this, it also means that it wasn't rejected during quality control.
It feels like the historical context of the time, such as requests from the Bureau of Material Control/Price Control to comply with new standards and changes in personnel due to wartime, is reflected in these details.
This item gains character with wear and pairs well with jeans, making it a versatile piece for spring and autumn.
With its Made in Japan quality and simple design, this is a timeless piece you can cherish for years to come.
