[TCB jeans "SEAMENS Jumpaers / USN Deck JKT"]
These SEAMENS Jumpers are based on a vintage 1940s USN DECK JKT owned by TCB.
The sewing thread is made using different counts and colors, one by one.
The silhouette is based on the vintage garment, but the width and sleeves are slightly tighter without destroying the vintage feel, aiming for a silhouette that is still relevant today.
The pockets are double-chain stitched, and the bar studs at the pocket openings, which are subject to stress, are roughly sewn with a reference to the original.
The stencils on the underside of the hem are all hand-applied.
The custom-made resin change buttons have a glossy finish at first, but this gradually fades and eventually takes on an appearance that is indistinguishable from the original.
The eyelets for the buttons are genuine eyelets.
The garment is sewn on a rare SINGER99 sewing machine, of which only a few remain in operation today.
The fabric used is 10oz denim with a natural unevenness, rather than the computer-controlled unevenness that is common today.
While the garment itself does not feature selvedge, it does feature power-loomed selvedge fabric.
It's designed for heavy wear and tear, and is sewn with pre-dyed gray thread.
