[UES "60BW-I" Big Waffle T-Shirt Indigo]
Thermal fabric is a popular choice for cut-and-sew garments during colder seasons; it is broadly categorized into two types based on the knit structure: waffle and honeycomb.
This particular item features a waffle pattern; by using thick yarn on a low-gauge knitting machine, we created a large-scale waffle texture, leading us to name it "Big Waffle."
The textured surface of the fabric traps warm air, providing excellent heat retention.
This waffle T-shirt is crafted using yarn that has been indigo-dyed prior to knitting (yarn-dyed).
This allows for a unique fading effect that differs from garment-dyed items.
Because rope-dyed yarn is not dyed all the way to the core, the un-dyed white center is revealed through fading and wear, creating a beautiful gradient.
Yarn-dyed indigo yarn is often avoided in production because it can stain knitting machinery; consequently, this is a rare fabric that can only be produced at a limited number of factories in Japan.
Special four-needle sewing machines are used during construction to ensure the seams do not become overly bulky.
The fabric weighs approximately 12 ounces, offering substantial thickness while remaining soft and comfortable to wear.
Humidity and friction are major factors in color fading; please take care regarding fading and color transfer, and enjoy the unique appeal of this indigo product.
