Thermal fabric is a popular choice for cut-and-sew garments during colder seasons; it is broadly categorized into two types based on the knit structure: waffle and honeycomb.
This particular item features a waffle pattern; by using thick yarn on a low-gauge knitting machine, we created a large-scale waffle texture, leading us to name it "Big Waffle."
The textured surface of the fabric traps warm air, providing excellent heat retention.
This is a Henley-neck waffle T-shirt designed using yarn-dyed indigo thread.
It offers a unique fading character distinct from that of garment-dyed items.
Rope-dyed yarn is not dyed all the way to the core; as the color fades or the fabric wears down, the undyed white core is revealed, creating a beautiful gradient effect.
Because yarn-dyed indigo thread can stain knitting machinery, many manufacturers avoid using it, making this a rare fabric that can only be produced at a limited number of factories in Japan.
Special four-needle sewing machines are used during construction to ensure the seams do not become overly bulky.
The fabric weighs approximately 12 ounces, offering substantial thickness while remaining soft and comfortable to wear.
Humidity and friction are major factors contributing to color fading; please take care regarding fading and color transfer, and enjoy the unique appeal of this indigo product.
