This is a WAREHOUSE reverse-fitting, hang-knit fleece hoodie.
A rare sweatshirt from the era when fabric was made in the same way as wool.
The pique fabric is loop-knit on a loom and then lined with fleece. It's also dyed in a process called counter-dyeing, where the yarn is dyed before knitting, rather than dyeing the fabric itself. This creates a distinctive shimmering effect on the surface and a unique, uneven texture that adds to its appeal.
The reverse-fit style, with the fabric used horizontally and ribbed sides, prevents shrinkage and improves vertical and horizontal stretch, allowing for greater freedom of movement than regular sweatshirts.
The sweatshirt fabric is sturdy yet soft and comfortable, with a warm lining.
